Please welcome to our Board of Directors...

This summer, Animal Fix Clinic welcomed six new members to our all volunteer Board of Directors. Our board brings a wealth of experience and expertise from a variety of professions and industries, particularly animal welfare. We're thrilled for the contribution of their passion, skills, and expertise to our mission!

MARGUERITE MEADE - Marguerite Meade (she/her) is a lifelong East Bay resident who has worked as a civil litigation lawyer for over thirty years. She currently has two indoor cats and a feral colony she has managed for ten-plus years. In the past, she has volunteered with a county shelter to help socialize and facilitate the adoption of cats and kittens. She is also a big fan of dogs.

ENIA TITOVA - Enia Titova (she/they) is a lawyer with a lifelong passion for animal welfare. At the tender age of 8, she nursed an abandoned puppy back to health from the brink of parvo, and has cared for many pets and rescued animals since. Enia also uses her legal expertise to advocate for animals pro bono, for which she was recognized by the Animal Legal Defense Fund with an award for her work on the campaign to ban carriage horses in New York City. She lives in San Francisco with her partner Leo and their orange cat, Annie “Banana” Wilbur, who is mildly famous in certain corners of the Internet.

KRISANNE COMBS - Krisanne Combs (she/her) is an experienced leader focused on the intersection of business strategy and technology solutions in the healthcare industry. Since 2008, she has worked at Kaiser Permanente, where she is Director of Business Strategy & Development for the Underwriting & Customer Analytics team, working to ensure that technology strategy supports the business strategy. Both her day job and weekend volunteering can be described as "herding cats," figuratively or literally! Krisanne has served as a volunteer at Oakland Animal Services since 2015, supporting animal adoption efforts at the City of Oakland's municipal shelter. Krisanne works with members of the public interested in adopting cats, conducts behavioral evaluations of cats brought into the shelter to assess their readiness for adoption or alternative placement, and ensures cats are properly socialized during their stay at the shelter. She also trains and mentors new volunteers and those expanding their skills, as well as supporting marketing and adoption promotion of animals on the OAS website and social media accounts. Krisanne lives in the beautiful Adams Point neighborhood of Oakland with her two senior cats.

AUDRA FARRELL - Audra Farrell (she/they) comes to AFC with more than a dozen years of sheltering experience, focusing on free roaming cats, foster programs, and community access to care. She has presented at conferences on topics such as free roaming moms and kittens and the relationships people have with free roaming cats they care for. She holds a Masters in Shelter Medicine from the University of Florida and is Fear Free and Low Stress Handling certified. She is deeply committed to the human animal bond and keeping families together. Audra lives in San Francisco with her spouse, Loren, two senior cats, Ezra and Hawkeye, and an alien masquerading as a dog, Frankie.

Animal Fix Clinic is also pleased to welcome new board members Caitlin Gutoff and Heather Allewelt.

Our new directors' collective passion for animal welfare and accessible veterinary care will be invaluable as we navigate the exciting opportunities and challenges ahead.

Please join us in extending a warm welcome to our new board members, who join a wonderful team committed to making a lasting impact in the East Bay and beyond!
