NICOLE SKAIFE
VETERINARY ASSISTANT
Nicole was born an animal lover and owner. Her desire to do more for animals in need led her to volunteer at her local animal shelter and foster several dogs. After fostering an amputee named Ollie, she became more interested in veterinary medicine and enrolled in a Veterinary Assistant program. While completing the program she determined that she wanted to work in a nonprofit or shelter medicine. She considers herself very fortunate to work at Animal Fix Clinic. She will continue her studies this fall as she starts a Veterinary Technician program, eventually becoming a Registered Veterinary Technician. When not tending to patients at Animal Fix Clinic or studying, Nicole enjoys spending time with her family, taking her two children to museums and attractions, playing board games, and taking their dogs on nature walks! She and her family have one pit bull mix, one chihuahua mix, and one very handsome cat (all rescued from local shelters).
