Since 2014, Animal Fix Clinic has performed over fifty-thousand life-saving and life-changing spay/neuter surgeries.

We provide these surgeries at low or no cost, because we believe that every animal and family deserves the very best veterinary care, regardless of finances.

Since then, we have grown from being a cat-only spay/neuter clinic to a high-volume clinic for both dogs and cats.

We also perform major life-saving surgeries, such as limb amputations, mass removals, and enucleations, for patients when finances are a barrier to obtaining care.

Our current clinic is in a rented space, and our landlord intends to sell the building. In 2022, we leapt at the opportunity to purchase our own building at a below-market rate.

Having our own building will allow us to invest in our own future, to be a permanent presence in the SF Bay Area.

The building we bought in Pinole, California, was used previously as an animal shelter for West Contra Costa County. The building itself has “good bones,” but we need to convert it into a functional surgical clinic. We have been working with an architect to create a state-of-the-art clinic to meet our needs, for our practice to grow in scope and volume.

Our new clinic will feature the ability to accommodate two surgeons on any given day, have three prep tables, dental capability, administrative office space, space for storage, and separate fear-free housing for dogs and cats.

The increased space will allow us to be open seven days a week and accommodate twice as many animals that need our help.

We look forward to helping over ten thousand patients a year.

Cute Orange Cat
Dog at Animal Fix Clinic
I have visited Animal Fix Clinic for many feral cats over the years. Most of my visits have been for spay/neuter services, but last spring they saved the life of an older feral cat I’d been feeding for years. Blanco had a wound on his face that became infected and was becoming necrotic. He was in danger of losing his eye and probably his life to this wound. Animal Fix Clinic did an amazing job of attending to his wound, and they were extremely responsive with follow-up when I emailed photos with concerns afterwards. Thanks to the care Blanco got at Animal Fix Clinic, he’s still going strong — lately he’s even been letting me pet him while he eats! I am so grateful for their care.
