Who Pays for Cat #205?

Last month, 204 community cats came through Animal Fix Clinic over one weekend.

The cats arrived with trapping groups, some traveling from as far away as San Joaquin and Lake Counties. The groups handled trapping and transportation. Our team provided spay/neuter surgery, vaccines, microchips and parasite treatment.

We also performed four entropion repairs, spayed a cat with pyometra, removed a painful ear polyp, and treated severe wounds on two cats.

Champions for Pet Health, funded by Maddie’s Fund, the Dave & Cheryl Duffield Foundation, and La Russa Rescue Champions, covered the cost of the two days at AFC.

Thank you to the trapping groups that got 204 cats to us and safely back to their communities.

Who Pays for Cat #205?

The weekend was unusual, but the cats aren’t. Community cats come through our doors every week.

Our public community cat program charges caregivers $55 for care that costs us about $180 to provide.

The Phyllip Fund helps cover the difference.

It also helps when a cat needs more than spay/neuter, such as treating a wound or removing a damaged eye.

Champions for Pet Health paid for those 204 cats. The Phyllip Fund helps pay for the next one.

A gift of $125 covers the difference for one community cat.

Thanks for a Great Shindig

What a great night! Thank you to everyone who joined us for our October 3rd Shindig, bid in the auction, donated, or helped spread the word.

Together, we raised $17,956  — reaching 120% of our fundraising goal!

We’re so grateful to everyone who helped make the night such a success, and a big thank you to Cellarmaker for hosting us.

As always, thank you for your support.
