Getting care shouldn’t feel impossible.
Veterinary care is out of reach for many. You help fix that.
Have you ever tried to get help for an animal and had no idea where to start?
Maybe it was your cat, your mum’s dog, or a community cat your neighbors have been feeding.
They needed urgent surgery for something fixable, but the price quoted was overwhelming. For many people, that’s become the norm.
Veterinary care is becoming increasingly difficult to access. More and more small clinics are being bought up by corporations, and prices keep rising. We work alongside some great programs that help, but the need still outpaces us all.
So people get stuck. Animals wait. Tumors grow.
Most of what we treat isn’t exotic. It’s just…untreated.
A bleeding mass, a painful eye, a hernia getting worse, a wound that never healed.
These aren’t cases that need miracle cures. Just problems that need surgery and someone able to do it at a price people can manage.
That’s when we get the call or email. If surgery can make the difference, we will do everything we can to get them in.
That’s only possible because of two things: the grants we secure and people like you.
Here’s an example in real life:
Meet INDICA
Indica came to us in May with a rather large mammary mass. Her family clearly cared about her, and they knew the mass was bothering her. But they didn’t think they’d ever be able to afford the surgery she needed.
One of our clients saw Indica, told her people about us, and gave our team a heads-up.
We got Indica in. We removed the tumor, which weighed nearly two pounds, and spayed her. It was a big surgery.
Indica did well under anesthesia and recovered uneventfully. She went home that evening, tail wagging as her dad lifted her into his truck.
About a week later, her family sent us an update:
“Indica is doing great. She’s her old self now. Thank you again for fixing her.”
A grant from The Grey Muzzle Organization helped cover part of Indica’s care. It didn’t cover everything, but it helped her family bridge the gap.
And we’ve just been awarded a new Grey Muzzle grant for the coming year — more help for senior dogs like Indica.
Like most grants, it’s restricted and won’t last forever, so your donations make it possible for us to say yes when an animal is in urgent need or doesn’t qualify for other programs.
Most of the animals we treat don’t need heroics. They just need surgery and someone willing to help us make it happen. That’s you.
Big Cat Day = Big Impact
Last month, we fixed 61 community cats in one day. Each got surgery, vaccines, parasite treatment, a microchip, and an ear tip.
We’ll have more Big Cat Days ahead, but we care for community cats every day.
So far this year, we’ve fixed over 1,400 for the public. That’s over $140,000 in subsidized care.
This work is possible because of The Phyllip Fund and people like you.
While we’re in the surgery suite for cats and dogs every day, we also love connecting with the community outside the clinic. Here’s where you’ll find us next month:
🛍 Solano Stroll – Sunday, Sept 14, 10 AM–5 PM
We’ll be out in the community. Come say hi! Details soon.
🎉 Open House – Saturday, Sept 27, 12 PM–5 PM

From our Board President:
If you like what Animal Fix Clinic does and want to help keep it going, I’d love to hear from you. We can always use a few extra hands behind the scenes — connecting with donors, helping plan an event, or taking on a special project to keep the clinic running strong.
If you’ve ever thought about joining our Board but don’t want the long-term commitment, this could be a great way to pitch in.
