Fix Our Ferals is Now Animal Fix Clinic

Fix Our Ferals is now Animal Fix Clinic!

We believe that everyone should have access to high-quality veterinary care. That’s why we’ve been saving lives and serving community since 1998, when a group of forward-thinking women founded a grassroots group called Fix Our Ferals, spaying and neutering community cats. It’s why in 2017 we expanded our services to include care for companion cats and dogs, and began providing essential surgeries alongside spay and neuter procedures. By changing our name, we’re better reflecting who we are now: a veterinary clinic open to every member of our community, to every cat and dog.

Thank you to everyone who has been with us since the beginning, and to everyone who we’re just getting to know!

Why did you change the name?

When Fix our Ferals opened its doors in 1998, we started by specializing in spay and neuter services for community cats. In 2017, we expanded our services to include serving pet cats and dogs as well as community cats, and offering essential (often life-saving) surgeries in addition to spay and neuter surgeries. By changing our name, we’re better reflecting who we are: a veterinary clinic open to every member of our community, to every cat and dog.

Does this mean community cats are no longer the organization’s focus?

Not at all! We help thousands of community cats each year, and they’re roughly half of our patients. Our TNR package, at only $45, is heavily subsidized for the public. We also work with many excellent TNR, rescue, and shelter organizations to make sure we continue to provide excellent care for free-roaming cats.

Will your services change?

No. We still offer spay and neuter surgeries, and essential surgeries for community cats and pet cats and dogs. You can find more information about our services and here.

Will your rates change?

No, all of our rates are the same, and are based on household income. We will always work with you to get your animal the best possible care. You can see our rates here.

Has your location changed?

No! We are still at 12226 San Pablo Ave, Richmond, CA, 94805. You can find our Hours and Directions here.
